Folkestone

The town of Folkestone, on Kent's southern coast, is a favourite of Nic and I, and we make frequent visits as there's always something creative on offer. Notable artists - to name but some - are Antony Gormley, Yoko Ono (yes, that Yoko Ono), Tracey Emin and Mark Dion, and have all contributed to the Folkestone Creative Triennial since 2008.

It is Mark Dion's The Mobile Gull Appreciation Unit, constructed from steel and fibreglass, that caught my attention on the Harbour Arm today.

The town is littered with artwork, both in shops and outdoors, and well worth a visit.
