Boscombe Manor latest image...

Cycling past Boscombe Manor at 5am today I was surprised to see just how much progress has been made on the renovation of the structure since my last visit (6th December 2008 post). However the light was not at its best (the sun had yet to rise) so I returned three hours later to shoot the photograph.
The south facing walls have been rendered and painted, new windows installed and the external scafolding removed. The brick extension to the left which housed the theatre still has the windows boarded up; the area remains very much a building site.
This is welcome news for a building that was threatened with demolition at the turn of the century but now has a new lease of life, with a new doctor's surgery on the premises scheduled to be open in the autumn.
