Asymmetrical symmetry...



Removing the colour content from today's image made little difference to the final feel of the image, since due to the stormy weather it was largely a monochrome photograph, anyway. What does make a difference is that the lighting is only working on one side of the local pier, creating the lopsided effect.

I'm liking the asymmetric look of a symmetrical picture. Not only are one set of lights working but one half of the pier flooring is dry.

Thank you, Spanner. I often curse the fact that one side of the decking always stays dry in such weather, but in this case it works for - not against - the image.
